Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com , 10,000 x 10,000 pixel, browser-based space

Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com is a browser-based space and a research-creation project run by Simona Barbera and Ronny Faber Dahl that focuses on the circulation and dissemination of digital art within the intersection of screen and physical exhibition space. Without prioritizing one form over the others, Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com explores the relational extension of the browser, where visual, sonic, and textual experiences are mediated through screens. Alongside, it engages in a critical process of exchange and deconstruction within the framework of networked society.

Designed and coded by Ronny Faber Dahl, Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com takes the form of an open-ended, online space browser. It steers its trajectory towards the confluence of internet culture, archival practices, and audiovisual materials, aiming to foster a critical platform for horizontal connections and expanded artistic practices. The project platform consists of a 10,000 x 10,000-pixel sized browser window – a fluid, multifaceted construct that extends from the continuum of the screen to IRL (in real life).

Since 2019 Isgisgisgisgisgisgisgisgisg.com has presented a series of online interventions, sharing decentralized practices within the field of media art, sound and moving images. Its practice is closely related to a temporal continuum that connects the archive beyond the confinements of the internet, redefining the boundaries of digital archives.
