With the support of Casa degli Artisti in Milan, a residency and production center part of the program Koinótes.
The open studio at Casa degli Artisti brings together practices and materials emerging from research and open discussions, which have converged and settled during the art residency, giving rise to new connections and unseen discourses involving materiality, non-linear dimensions of text and sound, algorithmically generated images, fabrics, red algae, physarum polycephalum, and metals, temporarily inhabiting Casa degli Artisti.
Fumogeni is an independent initiative run by a group of artists and researchers located between Italy and Norway. Oriented toward a hybrid terrain where art and theory mingle, Fumogeni aims to promote a critical, political, and environmental sensitivity in the context of art practice. MAREA is a project selected by Casa degli Artisti in Milan, Italy, as part of the Koinótes residency project from October 2023 to March 2024.
