Parallels showcases artists and practices that embody liminal spaces within digital networks, focusing on the circulation and dissemination of digital archives at the intersection of the screen and physical space. The exhibition features encoded images, generative algorithms, text-based works, vocal elements, and instances of digital error and erasure that traverse screens and open interfaces. Melted patterns on printed fabrics and sculptural shapes rendered in synthetic and organic materials embody energy, optical interference, pixelated water flows, vibrant hues, and luminous shaders.
Errors and pixel drain represent dysfunctions within information systems, causing disruption, temporary breakdowns in communication, and time dilation. Ranging from obsolete digital archives appropriated from Tumblr to topological structures and crystallized forms of materiality that explore dimensionality and bodily timing, Parallels reflects on the interplay between online and offline spaces. It highlights tactile and vulnerable connections that resonate with personal forms and desires.
